Foot Zone Therapy is a holistic technique that uses the energy pathways in the feet to bring balance to the body, mind, heart, and spirit. By applying precise signals on the feet, a practitioner helps the body reset and realign—supporting circulation, relaxation, and the body’s natural ability to heal.
At the heart of our philosophy is a simple truth: when the body is in balance, it can heal. Foot Zoning helps shift the body out of a state of “fight or flight” (stress and survival mode) and into “rest and digest” (healing and repair mode). In this balanced state, the body’s wisdom knows how to restore itself.
Every part of the body is connected through a network of energy points that can be accessed on the feet. During a foot zone session, a practitioner uses specific, mapped signals to stimulate these pathways.
This Communication encourages the body to:
Release stress and tension
Improve energy flow and circulation
Support organ function and overall wellness
Restore balance to the physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual bodies
Reduce or eliminate negative symptoms of disease, pain, and stress
Foot Zone Therapy is more than a treatment—it’s a way of reconnecting with the body’s own wisdom. When we are constantly stuck in fight-or-flight mode, our energy is spent on survival rather than healing. Foot Zoning gives the body the chance to pause, breathe, and move into rest and digest—where true repair, renewal, and peace can take place. Many clients report leaving a session feeling lighter, clearer, more grounded, and more at ease.
At We Do Feet Seminars, we teach Foot Zone Therapy with a deep respect for its roots while continuing to refine and expand the signals. Our students learn both the science and the art of zoning—practicing techniques that are highly accurate, efficient, and effective. We believe this balance of tradition and progression is what makes our school unique.
Modern Foot Zone Therapy traces back to Charles Ersdal of Norway, who developed what became known as the Ersdal Method. After suffering a stroke as a young adult, Charles was left paralyzed on one side of his body. Through chiropractic and reflexology techniques, he made a remarkable full recovery.
Inspired by his own healing, he devoted his life to natural medicine, becoming a physician, chiropractor, reflexologist, and ultimately, a pioneer of Foot Zone Therapy. In the late 1980s, he brought the method to the United States.
At We Do Feet Seminars, we began with the Ersdal Method and have since expanded and refined the signals, creating a more detailed, highly accurate, and efficient system. This continual progression allows us to honor our roots while advancing the practice for future generations.
